John “JT” May passed on to be with his ancestors on July 22, 2017, 11pm at U.V.A Hospital in Charlottesville at the age of 37. He was a great man who had love for many things. His career began with his work with Dunlap Fire Department and Rescue Squad. He soon found his way to training and becoming a Correctional Officer where he worked at Anthony Correctional Center and Augusta Correctional Center. At the same time he was a devoted member of the Virginia State Guard where he served as an E5 – SGT, A Company, 13th Battalion in the Blackhorse Brigade. He also worked as a mechanic in several different places and times, because if he smelled oil and gasoline, you could count him in!
